Lifelong Learning
Never stop learning. Education at SJK is not only for full-time students. Embrace the many opportunities SJK offers for lifelong learning and professional and personal growth.
The Division of Lifelong Learning provides learning opportunities to the citizens of Southeastern Alaska throughout all stages of life. The Division serves as a lifelong learning center for the community, providing educational opportunities to students, employers, and others interested in personal or professional growth and development, furthering their education, or staying current in their field.
With its nimble organizational framework, the Division is capable of quickly generating new learning opportunities in line with the mission of the institution and in step with the needs of the College’s varied constituents. Under the Lifelong Learning umbrella priority is given to credit and non-credit programmatic endeavors breaking out of the mold of the traditional academic year schedule to include, among others, summer, evening, and week-end offerings.
